Become what you really want to become


How disciplined are you on making your dreams or goals come true. At times, we are slightly afraid of the unexpected or what is our true outcome during our performance. However, quality over quantity is crucial during training. Therefore, it is important to include speed work, hill repeats and fartleks. Quality means having a purpose with each training.


Achieving your full potential, you have to master every single angle of the triathlon sport. If any piece is missing, you won’t succeed. What I am trying to reiterate, is that no matter what level of experience you have within the sport, you must try your best in everything you do. You have to believe that you are capable on achieving anything you set your heart and mind to.


To achieve mental toughness, on each workout you have to tell yourself the reason why your doing this. Despite, that it is hard… you have to try your best.  Don’t allow your mind to wander during training and follow your prescribed training. Replace your negative thoughts with thoughts of affirmation.  Be aware and in the now during training. Remember, quality over quantity. Learn what it is to push the limits and be comfortable with what is uncomfortable.
